The following are some easy sensory play recipes which you can easily do at home for your children to use and play with. These are good to use them for the sensory box ideas I gave you.

These are some of the sensory boxes which the children experienced in class and which you can try at home.

  • Jungle ! Green coloured rice, jungle animals, leaves, measuring cups and spoons.
  • Christmas snow! Fake snow, christmas themed items, cups and measuring spoons
  • Aeroplane! Kite paper, folded paper and cardboard, toy aeroplane and cotton wool
  • Christmas! Red and green coloured rice, pinecones, jingle bells and measuring spoons
  • Cooking! Pasta, measuring cups, kitchen utensils
  • Traffic lights! Black coloured rice, traffic light coloured pompoms, toy cars, pasta, measuring spoons and cups

Good afternoon parents,

I hope that you and the children are all well. As we all know, given the current Covid-19 situation we are in, we cannot physically meet anymore. For this reason, we will be keeping contact through this blog as I will be posting various activities regularly which the children can do at home. Moreover, I will be posting some ideas and resources which you can prepare for your children such as ideas for sensory play.

I know that this situation is not pleasant for anyone, but I hope that I will be of help to aid both you and the children wherever possible. Take care 🙂

Cooking activity – Mentimeter
